What We Collect
SaltStack collects only data needed to run core features:
- Apple User ID: A unique anonymous identifier provided by Sign in with Apple. We never see your real Apple ID or email address.
- Electrolyte log entries and targets: The products and amounts you log and your sodium/potassium/magnesium target settings.
- Purchase history: RevenueCat, our subscription processor, manages your subscription status. We do not see your payment card or billing details.

- We don't collect your name, age, gender, or weight.
- We don't track your location.
- We don't sell your data to anyone, ever.
- We don't use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
How Data Is Stored and Synced
- On-device: Your log history is stored locally on your device.
- Server sync (optional): If you sign in with Apple, SaltStack syncs your log data and profile settings to SaltStack servers so your history can be restored across devices.
- No iCloud history backup: SaltStack does not store your log history in iCloud/CloudKit.
Permissions We Use
- Camera: Optional, used only to scan barcodes for product lookup.
- HealthKit (write): Optional, used to write logged sodium, potassium, and magnesium entries to Apple Health when enabled by you.
- Notifications: Optional, used for local reminder alerts you enable in the app.
Data Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app's Settings. You can also email us at [email protected] to request data deletion.
